The edge of life has a lot to teach the rest of it.
I sit with people in their last days, and with the families who love them. What I learn there is too good to keep to myself.
Support caregivers
The people doing the caring carry more than anyone sees. They deserve honest stories, practical tools, and someone in their corner.
Normalize hospice
Hospice is not giving up. It is care, comfort, and often some of the most sacred days a family will share. People should know that before they need it.
Care for the bereaved
Grief does not end at the funeral. Grounded is a place to keep walking with the ones left behind, for as long as it takes.
Real stories from the edge of life.

Hi, I'm Chris.
I'm a hospice chaplain. Most days I sit with people in their final weeks and months, and with the families who love them. I listen, I pray when I'm asked to, and I get a front row seat to some of the most honest moments a person will ever have.
I hold a master's degree in seminary and theology. Before chaplaincy, I spent years in graphic art and print production, which is why I can't help building things. Grounded is my independent work: the stories I carry home from the bedside, and tools to help people care for their whole selves.
No easy answers. Just real stories, and what they can teach the rest of us about how to live.
Chris
