The Grounded Way

Deposits and payments
For weddings, a deposit holds your date and the balance can be paid in installments before the day. Every service is confirmed with you in writing, including the price, deposit, and what happens if plans change.
Travel
Travel is included for the first 30 miles. Beyond that, travel is charged at the IRS mileage rate, plus airfare if needed and a hotel or host home for overnights.
Travel weddings. We prepare with you online, and you cover flights and lodging, plus $250 for each travel day. We say yes to a few each year.
If cost is a barrier
- Everyone is welcome, whatever your budget. If money is tight, tell us, and we'll find a rate that works. Your word is enough.
- Grace spots. A few services each month are set aside as a gift or at a reduced rate for families in hardship. Just ask.
- Pay it forward. If you're able to give a little extra when you pay, it funds a grace spot for someone else.
- For professionals and congregations. Clergy, chaplains, and healthcare workers can often use continuing education or wellness funds. Churches and employers sometimes cover talks and trainings for their people.
