Grow With Grounded
Accessibility

Made for every way of living.

Grow With Grounded is for every person, at every age, with every kind of body and mind. Here is what works today, how to ask for help, and what we're improving next. Last updated November 7, 2026.

What works today

  • Read AloudStories and every Grounded tool can read their words out loud. When Life Changes guides and practices play in a recorded Grounded voice, and everything else uses a voice on your own device. You can choose the speed.
  • Videos you can watch, hear, or readEvery Learn and guide video speaks one sentence at a time in a recorded voice, with real pauses, and shows each sentence on screen as it's spoken. Read Instead opens the whole script as text, one tap away.
  • Ease of UseOpen Settings in The Grounded Way, Willow, or The Grove and choose Ease of Use, or tap the A+ button where a page shows one, to pick a Text Size and turn on Reduce Motion or Higher Contrast. Light or dark is in Settings too. The website follows your device's light or dark setting, and every page grows with your browser's zoom.
  • Gentler motionTurn on Reduce Motion in Ease of Use, or set your device to reduce motion, and the moving touches in each painted scene rest, the scene stays still and calm, and video slides appear still.
  • Higher ContrastIn Ease of Use, Higher Contrast makes softer words darker, lines and edges clearer, focus rings stronger, and links underlined, in light or dark.
  • Health and AbilityIn The Grounded Way, at every age, you can choose anything about your body and health that's part of your life right now, and the guides, practices, and videos that fit show first. It stays locked on your device. How it's kept private.
  • Show Gentler Ways FirstFor anyone, whatever you choose in Health and Ability: practices with a seated, lying down, shorter, or low-energy way come first, with that way shown under each one.
  • Workouts, meditations, and kitchen guidesIn The Grounded Way, a recorded voice guides each step, with the step written on screen. Auto Flow runs a whole workout with no taps, Voice Off, Music Off, and Beeps Off each turn one sound off, and the Simple Figure chip shows a plain moving figure in place of the 3D one. The Gentle path offers chair strength, supported balance, and short walks.
  • Rest WeekOne tap on Today holds your tree still and kind for seven days, for flare weeks, hospital weeks, and hard weeks. It's there whenever you need it, as often as you need it.
  • Keyboard and screen readersEvery page starts with a skip link to the main content, uses real headings, and labels its buttons and menus so screen readers can announce them.
  • Your own device, your own paceEvery tool opens right away, keeps everything on your device, saves as you go, and lets you stop and come back any time.

Ceremonies, visits, and events

Tell us what helps you, and we'll plan it together: a seated space with level access, a quieter room, more time, large-print readings, or an ASL interpreter or captions. The same goes for talks and trainings we lead for your group.

How to ask for help

If something on our site or in a tool is hard to use, or you'd like a page in another form, like large print or plain text, we'd love to hear from you. Write to or call 320-291-7393. If you're Deaf or hard of hearing, email works well, or you can call through a relay service by dialing 711. Tell us the page or tool, and what you were trying to do. We read every message and reply personally.

What we're improving next

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as our guide as we build. Each new build is checked in a real browser on a phone and a computer, with the keyboard, at large text sizes, and in light and dark.

Next, we're checking every tool with people who use screen readers, Deaf readers, and families of children with disabilities, and writing a report that schools, hospitals, and other organizations can review before they bring Grow With Grounded to the people they serve.
